About the Wilson Church Musician's Guild
History
The Wilson Church Musician’s Guild is a non-profit organization of church musicians whose primary aim is that of service to the community through hymn festivals, children’s musicals, workshops and other types of programs of interest to the community. There is no set time table for any special events. They are schedule when the time seems most appropriate and an interest for the specific type of program is high.
The guild was formed c. 1964 and became an affiliate with the Arts Council on October 10th, 1967. The organization of the guild consists of a president and a secretary/treasurer. The guild generally meets once a month at a predetermined time and place. There were eleven members at the time of this document.

Goals and Purpose
1. To glorify God through music in our churches and community.
2. To communicate among the churches of various sizes and styles so we can learn from each other and build up the body of Christ.
3. To offer opportunities to the community that one church alone cannot accomplish (festivals, community sings, etc).
4. To facilitate spiritual nurture, friendship and encouragement among the members.
